LaBov & Beyond's Umbrella Series Books Being Published in South Korea

Fort Wayne, Ind. (PRWEB) August 21, 2008 -- LaBov & Beyond's Umbrella Series is going global, and its first international stop will be South Korea. Copies of the Umbrella Series, LaBov & Beyond's collection of illustrated business parables geared at helping companies energize and engage employees and maximize sales potential and brand awareness, are currently being printed and published in South Korea.

The Seoul-based Kyujang Publishing Company approached LaBov & Beyond in late 2007 with a serious interest in translating the Umbrella Series into the Korean language and then publishing it for the domestic market there. An agreement was quickly reached, and the books were printed and put into distribution in early March by Happinion, an imprint of Kyujang Publishing Company. Printing and distribution is expected to continue through the end of 2008.

"We are very delighted to publish these engaging, enlightening stories here," Deborah Lee, director of subsidiary rights for Kyujang Publishing Company, says. "We know the stories of the Umbrella Series will reach out to our readers and have a significant impact on them."

LaBov & Beyond president and CEO Barry LaBov authored the Umbrella Series books, along with the subsequent Umbrella Collection of business stories, as a way to bring to full color the common internal issues and challenges many of his agency's clients face on a daily basis. The books' popularity led to them being acted out in plays for corporate and teambuilding events across the country. And now, they've gone international.

"The business lessons to be learned in the Umbrella Series really know no boundaries," says Barry LaBov, president and CEO of LaBov & Beyond and author of the Umbrella Series. "Business and commerce become more global every day, which make these stories relevant and insightful to more people around the world every day."

Publication of the Umbrella Series books in additional international markets is a possibility for LaBov & Beyond and the Umbrella Series, he adds.

Writing Children's Books: Take Chances To Get Published
In an editorial several years ago, I described a tree house in the backyard of a local restaurant. I wrote, "The entire structure has been pieced together from recycled lumber, much of which still bears the paint, logos or posters of the original walls from whence it came. The generous platform is ringed by a sturdy fence that includes branches of the tree itself, random two-by-fours, wooden signs, and even a pair of moose antlers. The 'house' is more of a lean-to, tall enough for kids (but not adults) to stand up inside, with a screened door and two screened windows positioned so occupants can easily spy on the diners below or out over the adjacent parking lot. A green padded bench that looks like it had once belonged in a diner adequately...
