Expanded Books and OverDrive to Make Book Preview Videos and Author Interviews Available Via Download to Libraries

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) June 6, 2007 -- Expanded Books LLC announced today that it has entered into an agreement with OverDrive, a distributor of downloadable digital media to libraries throughout the world. Expanded Books content will be available through OverDrive's Community Reserve, a collection of free materials for its library partners.

All of the videos produced by Expanded Books, covering genres ranging from science fiction to self-help, will soon be available on OverDrive partner library web sites for viewing and download. In addition, previews of the videos are available for viewing by librarians through OverDrive's library purchasing portal (Content Reserve) to help them decide which titles will interest their patrons.

Founded in 2004, Expanded Books collaborates with major publishing houses to produce author interviews that air as streaming video on major web portals such as Yahoo!, MSN, Google Video, YouTube, MySpace, and Apple's iTunes Store. In the three years since its founding, Expanded Books has aired nearly 200 interviews that have garnered nearly 4 million streams in total with such bestselling authors and illustrators such as Steve Berry, Rita Mae Brown, Maurice Sendak and Orson Scott Card, as well as with such public figures and celebrities-turned-authors as former Secretary of Defense William S.
